"I was made in the likeness of the Creator. Therefore, I create."
My name is David Jahns (pronounced "Johns"). I am 23 years old and living in Nashville, TN. I play bass in a band called Farewell Fighter. That is basically consuming my life at the moment. When I'm not busy with Farewell Fighter I write songs and release them as The House and the Human.
There are a million artists out there who are better than myself. I'm not a poet, I'm not a very good singer, and I'm FAR from being an amazing musician.
The songs you can hear below were not written for the sake of catchiness or showing off my musicianship. These songs have meaning to me, and I hope that one or more of them can mean something to you as well. THAT is what this project is about.
I'll do my best to keep this blog interesting. Most of the photos will be from my iPhone as I go about my days. Just as a heads up: I'm pretty obsessed with the sky, music, and food. On that note...I hope you enjoy my blog. Thanks for reading :)

Absolutely. I believe that every word of the Bible is absolute truth and the standard to which all moral law is held to.

At first I thought they were turkeys…but now I don’t even know.
That’s awesome! Nashville has tons to see. I would suggest looking up shows going on while you’re here. Great venues in town would include Rocketown, The End, Exit In, The Rutledge, Mercy Lounge/Cannery Ballroom, and tons more. If the weather is nice you can check out Centennial Park, and of course there’s the heart of downtown: Broadway. It’s mostly a bunch of bars with live country music. Even if you’re not into that sort of thing, it’s still interesting to at least walk by and see the environment for a bit. Hope that helped!
Thank you! :)
This is awesome.

Fall Out Boy: Yule Shoot Your Eye Out
Our Sunday Night Music Club post is Fall Out Boy’s song ‘Yule Shoot Your Eye Out’ from the A Santa Cause compilation released in 2004. Enjoy!
Don’t come home for Christmas
You’re the last thing I wanna see
Underneath the tree
Merry Christmas, I could care less
I think I just lost some street cred in St. Louis. Girl at the bar turned around, and when she saw me proceeded to laugh hysterically. 😁🍻 (Taken with Instagram at Fubar)
